Rizzoli & Isles S02 Gag Reel  // Angie Harmon [x]

Lately people have been saying Jane is out of character and has changed in the latter part of season three, not that I don’t agree. We’ve all agreed that Jane has been too focused on Casey, a man who has time and time again told Jane he doesn’t want to be with her and yet she still cries for him, which, if you ask me, defies her very character. Jane Rizzoli doesn’t cry over a man. Jane Rizzoli doesn’t let a man define her. But, you know who does define her? Maura. Because attending to Maura’s needs is not out of character for her, and yet somehow attending to a man is. I wasn’t happy with the latest episodes and how the writers decided to throw Casey more into the equation as if it’d change our minds about Rizzles. But, if their intention was to make us think that Jane loves Casey and only Casey, here is where they messed up. Because she clearly changed but one thing was always constant with Jane Rizzoli, yes even this Jane Rizzoli: when Maura needed Jane, she was there. All Maura did was send her a text. I’d bet that text went something along the lines of “Come now” or “I need you”. and Jane put her work on the back burner for a moment to go see what was wrong. Yet, when it came to Casey, she waited until she had time or until the case was over. Even when two women had been dead, making it a serial killer on the loose, she’d waited to talk to him. With Maura, Jane went running. Despite the fact that she’d just told her brother she had a lot of work to do. Above her job, Jane went to go be that shoulder to Maura.
